West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has taken a firm stance against municipal leaders during a meeting today, criticizing them for encroaching on footpaths and government land. Specifically naming Bali and Sujit Bose, Banerjee halted local tenders for municipal councils, declaring a shift to centralized procurement processes. She emphasized the need for improved governance and expressed concerns over illegal constructions and land encroachments in Howrah.
